What is a Nurse Practitioner?
A Nurse Practitioner is a Registered Nurse who had pursued a Master's or Doctorate of Nursing Degree, which enables him/her to diagnose illnesses, prescribe medications, order screeening and diagnostic lab works, X-rays, MRIs, CT scans and so forth and treat most chronic conditions and acute illnesses.
Meet the Provider
Josephine Jacques is a board certified Nurse Practitioner who has been in the medical field for over 25 years. She has earned her degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of Massachusetts in Lowell and her undergraduate degree at Emmanuel College. She is currently an Adjunct Professor at Rivier University in the Family Nurse Practitioner program. She has worked with a variety of patients including dialysis patients, geriatric patients and sub-acute patients. She has some special training in functional/integrative medicine.
